About the Loft

The Loft in building E is part of the campus of the NHL Stenden Hogeschool in Leeuwarden and located on the ground floor. The Loft has an extra high ceiling and is in total 4 meters high. This apartment is equipped with a living room and a kitchen on the ground floor. A stair leads to a second mezzanine floor. This floor is equipped with a European king-size bed and measures 160cm wide and 200cm long. The mezzanine floor is 150 centimeter high and adds a lot of extra space to this room. Beneath the stairs is a build-in closet where you can store your clothes and suitcase.

Furthermore the living area of the Loft is equipped with a dining table, a cozy couch and a coffee table. Beneath the stairs is a closet where you can store your clothes and suitcase.
 The studio also contains a separate study desk with a comfortable office chair so that you can concentrate on your studies. The Loft is also equipped with a 55-inch smart TV for your movie nights.

The Loft includes your own private bathroom with a shower, toilet and a sink and your own kitchen area with an oven/microwave-combination, stove, sink, refrigerator and dishwasher. You won’t have to worry about cleaning dirty dishes yourself. Pots, pans and cutlery are not included.

This specific Loft has nice, large, inward opening windows with a French balcony.

This loft has antique-rose color elements on the wall and furniture. Please see the impression photos to get an impression of how the actual loft will look like.

Building E contains 181 brandnew studio’s and apartments. The construction is completed before the 1st of August 2023. You will be the first tenant living in this specific studio or apartment.
Furniture
The furniture of the residences differs from the other residences. We have tried to maximize the storage space and a professional designer has designed some of the furniture. 
Facilities
Within the building the following facilities are available:
• A laundry room with washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities 
• A gym free of charge to use
• Two vacuum cleaners on each floor 
• Free parking for bikes in our secured bike shed
• A cozy atrium
• In 5 minutes walking (Building A) you will find a café for you daily coffee boost
Campus life
NHL Stenden Hogeschool Leeuwarden is only 5 minutes walking from the residence. There are also enough possibilities close by to blow off steam after studying like: climbing hall, cafes, a gym and even a swimming pool. For your daily groceries, there is a supermarket and shopping center within walking distance. Not enough choice? No problem! The old characteristic city center of Leeuwarden with even more shops is just a few minutes away. 

All inclusive
The payments for all utilities like heating, electricity, water and internet are included in your rent.  

Parking
For our students that have their own car during their time here in the Leeuwarden, they have the possibility to park long term with their student card.

ShortStay 
You can rent these rooms for a period 6 (exchange) or 12 months.

  • You pay a deposit of 1.000€ and administration costs of 55€ as a one-time cost. We will send you the invoice by email. Once your contract ends, we will transfer the deposit back to you.

    The rental price for this accommodation is shown above. This price is to be paid per month. It includes the basic rent and all utilities like electricity, heating, and water. Furthermore, it includes the costs of the internet (Wi-Fi) as well as the use of our common rooms. Your accommodation is furnished. These costs are also included. In short, all-inclusive!

  • This accommodation on our campus is for international students only. This means that you cannot have resided in the Netherlands for more than six months before you start the lease at StudentStay.
