Campus
Lofts
Accommodation Size: 36 - 65 m²
Rent all incl.: 850€ - 1.200€
Special feature: Two living floors, partly balconies
Number of Lofts: 39
On-campus lofts always have a second upper layer to sleep openly connected to the living room. The bigger lofts have beside the upper sleeping area also a separate bedroom. There are up to 3 beds placed in these lofts. All lofts are fully furnished and have a Smart TV or a study desk. It is therefore possible to rent lofts with a second or even third person*. Loft beds have sizes of 90cm x 200cm, 140cm x 200cm and 160cm x 200cm.
To make it even crazier, you have 24/7 free access to a private gym just for StudentStay Campus tenants, free bike parking, and you can book our party room for free for chill sessions, meetings or big parties.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave with oven function, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. Some lofts have a washing machines and also dishwashers in the kitchen. There are no kitchen utensils such as plates, pots or cutlery.

Suites

On-campus suites are the most luxurious accommodations StudentStay can offer. These high-end suites are also fully furnished and include a Smart TV or a study desk, a large kitchen, underfloor heating and usually a private balcony. In addition to a spacious living room, there is a separate bedroom. It is also possible to rent suites with a second person, such as your partner*. You can choose with whom you want to stay in this suite and simply share the rent with the second tenant. The suites beds have a size of 140cm x 200cm and 160cm x 200cm.

On-campus studios are the perfect option for students who want to live on a high quality standard with an own kitchen and own bathroom. All studios have underfloor heating, are furnished and some of them with a Television. It is still possible to rent studios with a second person such as with your partner.* All studio beds have a size of 140cm x 200cm and 160cm x 200cm.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave with oven function and a refrigerator. In building A from the 6th floor on the kitchen does also have a dishwasher. Shared apartments

On-campus shared apartments are the most affordable option with a private room on the StudentStay Campus. All beds have a size of 90 cm x 200 cm. Also here you have underfloor heating. You share the kitchen, bathroom and toilet with 2 or maximum 3 other flatmates. If you want to live in a shared apartment with friends, you have to make sure that you book the same apartment number, just with different room numbers. For example, you can book apartment 281 room 1, your friend can book apartment 281 room 2 or room 3 and so on.

Dorms

Special feature: Most affordable campus option, sharing a place with a second person

On-Campus dorms are very limited, but offer a good opportunity to live with a second person in the same apartment with separate beds. We offer the dorms in a price range from 450€ to 510€ per month and bed. In a dormitory you live in a 28 square meter studio with underfloor heating with two single beds. This is a good opportunity to stay together with a good friend, a sibling or just a known fellow student. Both beds have a size of 90 cm x 200 cm. You both share the kitchen, bathroom with toilet. If you want to live together in a dorm, you have to make sure that you book the same apartment number, just with a different bed number. For example, you can book dorm 51 bed 1, your friend can book dorm 51 bed 2.

Kanaalstraat
Campus Fryslan

Campus Fryslan is part of the University of Groningen and is located in the heart of Leeuwarden. We offer architecturally exciting studios and lofts in an old converted school building, just a few minutes walk from Campus Fryslan. The building in Kanaalstraat is guaranteed for the first year of all Bachelor students studying at Campus Fryslan. Everyone has their own space. No apartment is shared with a second person. Students can apply for housing subsidies for most of the accommodations in this building. Some rooms have 90 cm x 200 cm beds and some others have 140 cm x 200 cm beds. It depends on the size of the apartment. The lofts have a second floor (mezzanine), while the studios are on one level.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave with oven function and a refrigerator. There are no kitchen utensils such as plates, pots or cutlery.

Downtown accommodations
Accommodation Size: 10 - 120 m²

Special feature: From 2nd year on bookable, all locations in and around the city center

After your first year living at one of our StudentStay locations, you are welcome to remain a tenant at Student Stay. We can offer you many shared rooms and also some studios, apartments and houses for you to stay in from your second year. Most houses are shared with 3, 4 or up to 5 other students. You have the opportunity to live together with many friends in one house or apartment. Don't miss out on this opportunity. These accommodations are also suitable for Dutch students.
Kitchens are usually equipped with a microwave and/or oven and a refrigerator. Kitchen utensils such as plates, pots or cutlery are not provided.

Stationsweg
Complex
Accommodation Size: 25- 30 m²
Rent exclusive Wifi.: 700€ - 780€
Special feature: For Dutch and international students, close to main station, spacious roof terrace
Number of Rooms: 37
In Stationsweg complex we can offer you modern studios with underfloor heating, located only 2 minutes from the main train station and the city center. These studios all have a nice private kitchen, private bathroom and a large living/sleeping area. Most of the studios in the Stationsweg Complex are not furnished. Electricity, water and heating are included in the rent. Please note that Wifi is not included, but most students share it with their neighbors. That's easy too, isn't it? Most of the tenants are second year students or higher. There is also a wide variety of nationalities. The large roof terrace is accessible around the clock and is perfect for nice gatherings or sunset dinners.
Kitchens are usually equipped with a microwave and/or oven and a refrigerator. Kitchen utensils such as plates, pots, or cutlery are not provided.

Rental periods
We have two main rental periods. You can rent for either one semester or two semesters:

If you start in the winter semester (Aug-Jan) you can rent from 1st of August until end the of January or until the 31st of July in the following year.

If you start in the summer semester (Jan-July) you can rent from end of January until 31st of July or until end of January in the following year.
Renting with a second person
If you plan to rent accommodation with a second person, please note that in most accommodations there is only one bed. Renting it with your partner is possible, but with a friend or fellow student can be difficult in one bed (140 cm x 200 cm). Then rather take the option of a dorm, shared apartment, or a larger loft, where two beds or more rooms with separate beds are available.
